An appraisal is an argument. Ours are built to survive scrutiny.
Anyone can produce a number. The question is what happens to that number when a carrier's reviewer, an opposing expert, or a judge picks it up and turns it over. A figure with nothing beneath it collapses on contact. A figure with comparables, condition evidence, and repair documentation behind it does not.
We are independent. We are not retained by an insurer, we are not paid on the outcome, and we have no interest in a number being larger or smaller than the evidence supports. That independence is the entire value of the instrument — the moment an appraisal bends toward whoever is paying for it, it stops being worth commissioning.
The Practice
What we are asked to determine.
Diminished Value
A repaired car is not a whole car. Even a correct repair leaves a permanent mark on the history report and a measurable hole in the resale. We quantify what the repair left behind and present it in a form a carrier cannot wave off as sentiment.
Total Loss Valuation
When a settlement offer arrives low, indignation is not a remedy. A comparable-backed valuation is. We establish what the vehicle was actually worth on the day of loss — trim, options, condition, mileage, and the market it genuinely traded in, not a national average.
Collector & Classic
Agreed-value support, insurance scheduling, estate and division matters, and documentation for cars whose worth is not printed in any book. Provenance, originality, and rarity are assessed as the market assesses them.
The Method
How a matter proceeds.
Intake
You describe the car and the circumstance. We tell you candidly whether an appraisal will improve your position. Roughly a third of enquiries end here, with our advice that the exercise is not worth your money.
Examination
Photographs, service records, repair invoices, estimates, supplements, and where the matter warrants it, the vehicle itself. What the paperwork omits is frequently more instructive than what it states.
Research
Comparable analysis drawn from the market the car actually trades in — the correct trim, the correct region, the correct buyer. A comparable is only a comparable if a real purchaser would have considered both cars.
Report
A written appraisal, defensible line by line, with the methodology stated plainly and the supporting evidence attached. It is delivered to you first, and it is yours to use or to shelve as you see fit.
Standing By
If the matter escalates, the file is already built for it. Rebuttals, supplements, and testimony are available without reconstructing work that should have been done correctly the first time.
Enquiries
Tell us about the car.
The vehicle, the circumstance, and what you have been offered or told so far. That is enough for us to tell you whether there is anything here worth pursuing. There is no charge for that answer, and no obligation attached to it.
